We are currently seeking a Senior Site Activation Lead to join our diverse and dynamic team. As a Senior Site Activation Lead at ICON, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and driving the site activation process for clinical trials. You will lead efforts to ensure timely site identification, initiation, and activation, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to meet project timelines and support the successful execution of clinical studies.
What You Will Be Doing:
  • Lead and manage end-to-end site activation across multiple study designs, including site identification, feasibility assessments, contract negotiations, and regulatory submissions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams globally to ensure timely delivery of site activation milestones and the smooth initiation of clinical trials.
  • Monitor site activation progress and proactively resolve challenges or bottlenecks to meet tight deadlines.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, sharing your expertise in study start-up best practices.
  • Translate sponsor requests into actionable plans for study teams, ensuring alignment and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain clear communication with internal stakeholders and external site teams to achieve activation goals on schedule.
What We Are Looking For:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Clinical Research, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in site activation, clinical trial start-up, or project management within the clinical research industry.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple studies simultaneously, working efficiently under tight deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory and contractual requirements for clinical site activation.
  • Leadership experience on a global scale, including guiding cross-functional study teams and mentoring colleagues.
  • The ability to translate complex sponsor requests into clear, actionable strategies for study teams.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to respond to rapidly changing priorities and requirements.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with a record of effectively leading high-performing teams.
