A Day in Your Life at MKS:

The role of SAP Functional Support Lead will be to provide SAP support for the end users working at MKS globally, with a focus on MKS entities in Europe.

The main mission will be to lead and coordinate SAP functional support by managing a team of 5–7 consultants, prioritizing workload, ensuring governance and SLA adherence, and acting as the escalation point for complex cross‑module issues while remaining hands‑on in SAP SD.

You Will Make an Impact By:

• Drive operational excellence through consistent support process oversight, KPI and trend analysis, and active contribution during high‑demand periods to improve quality, resolve recurring issues, and maintain stable SAP operations.
• Understand and can execute SAP configuration changes within the SAP Sales and Distribution (SAP SD) areas of SAP. Understand third-party interfaces to related auxiliary systems such as tax determination systems, credit management, and similar.
• Work directly with business owners and Business Relationship Managers to identify & define SAP-related objectives and goals related to effective support of SAP SD distribution module, contribute to continuous improvement processes, and problem management processes.
• Collaborate with various IT staff and business users in the testing of new software programs and applications, such as upgrades, interface applications, business functions, and new configurations.
• Develop and provide training and user manuals.

Skills You Bring:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP SD and cross
• Fluent English. Other languages are a plus.
• Deep understanding of configuration, customization, and best practices in SAP’s Sales and Distribution module and cross module synergies.
• Ability to collaborate with business end users as well as other functional and technical IT members.
• Solution-orientation paired with high-quality work.
• Basic understanding of ABAP capabilities to work with a SAP development team.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools to extract, analyze, and process SAP ERP data.
BA in Computer Science, Management, or Economics, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working in global IT support teams.
• Understanding the end-to-end process between the SAP C4HANA/E-commerce platform and the SAP SD module in the SAP ERP system.
• SAP Certifications in the SAP SD area.
• Background in working with a multi-site, global business environment, multi-cultural community.
• Experience as a Team Member, Team Lead, or Project Manager on at least one full SAP cycle implementation.
