You will join Hatch's

Project Delivery Group (PDG) - a global, project-focused organisation responsible for delivering complex

Hatch offers a collaborative environment, strong technical leadership, and long-term career development within a stable global organisation.

The Role

As a Project Buyer , you will be responsible for managing project procurement activities from RFQ through to Purchase Order award
for engineered equipment, bulk materials, and services supporting EPCM capital projects.

This is a project-based procurement role, not an operational or shared-services buying position. You will work closely with Engineering, Contracts, Expediting, Materials Management, and Project Controls to ensure procurement activities support overall project cost, schedule, and quality objectives.

You will be based in Katowice , working as part of Hatch's growing procurement and project delivery hub, collaborating daily with global project teams.

  • Prepare and issue RFQs / ITTs , including technical and commercial documentation
  • Develop bidder lists and support supplier prequalification activities
  • Coordinate technical and commercial bid evaluations with Engineering and other stakeholders
  • Lead commercial clarifications and negotiations with suppliers
  • Prepare award recommendations and obtain required internal approvals
  • Issue Purchase Orders in line with project requirements, governance, and applicable legislation
  • Support purchase order kick-off meetings and handover to Expediting
  • Manage procurement documentation, changes, and variations in accordance with contract terms
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with corporate, tax, customs, and import regulations
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of procurement processes and templates

What You Bring

Essential

  • Relevant technical, commercial, or trade qualification
  • 3 - 5+ years of experience in project procurement within EPC / EPCM / capital project environments
  • Proven experience managing RFQs, bid evaluations, negotiations, and Purchase Order awards
  • Strong understanding of engineered equipment, materials, and service procurement
  • Solid knowledge of project execution, including interfaces with engineering, expediting, and materials management
  • Ability to manage multiple procurement packages in parallel
  • Strong commercial judgement and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent written and spoken English

Preferred

  • Experience with international suppliers and global projects
  • Exposure to construction or industrial service procurement
  • Working knowledge of SmartPlant, SAP, or similar procurement systems

Why Join Hatch?

  • Work on large-scale industrial CAPEX projects with global reach
  • Be part of a growing
project delivery and procurement hub in Katowice
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across engineering, procurement, and construction management
  • Long-term career development in a stable, global organisation
  • Flexible working environment
  • Think globally, work locally
