As Tech Lead, this role will work in the Global Custom Software Solutions team, building PPG’s backbone for Digital Commerce. This solution will integrate information from various other internal systems to allow our global partners to purchase and receive our products. Applicants for the position will be expected to be self-driven, oversee the entire application development process, guide a team of developers following best practices (regarding coding and software engineering), as well as acting as a liaison with different agile team members including, but not limited to, Solution Architects and DevOps Engineers. To successfully perform this role, the applicant must be able to fully comprehend and implement functional and non-functional requirements, have a strong understanding of .NET framework, solid experience modeling databases, and familiarity with software engineering principles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyzing detailed business/functional/technical requirements and specifications for PPG’s eCommerce Digital platform
• Utilize Azure DevOps as the source for project and development documentation to ensure efficiency.
• Provide technical and personal skill development for all development team members enabling greater operational performance.
• Ensuring solutions are aligned to PPG IT strategies and maintain compliance to architectural standards and principles
• Implement and facilitate unit testing methodology to continually upgrade code quality.
• Embrace and follow agile practices to mentor and support throughout the development team.
• Respond appropriately to system maintenance requests and analytical abilities and technical skills to isolate problems, fix immediate needs, analyze all ramifications, and implement solutions.
• Providing Oncall support
• Work at an in-depth technical level while possessing a broad knowledge of various technical areas.
• Create Technical Debt backlog in Azure DevOps, manage and track execution of it
• Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy

Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field as well as minimum 6+ years work-related experience required in the field of IT Applications, 2+ years of proven experience in a techlead position
• Analytical and conceptual skills
• Advanced skills in C#, ASP.net, .Net Core, Entity Framework, TypeScript, Angular 9+, RxJS, SASS, Git, SOLID, Design patterns, Architectural patterns
• Experience with GraphQL, Hot Chocolate, Mass Transit, Commerce Tools, Algolia, Apollo Angular, Angular Material, OAuth 2

• Would be a plus if experience with Microservice architecture, Xunit, Flurl.Http, Autofac, Mapster, AutoMapper, FluentValidation, Serilog, Moq, Snapshooter, FluentAssertions, Docker

• Experience in Cloud platforms, especially Azure.
• Familiar with DevOps process, Azure DevOps, Terraform, PowerShell, MACH Composer
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including technical writing
• Possess coaching skills and will coach other team members
• Skills managing application design and project priorities
• Can foster and maintain good relationships with customers and IT colleagues to meet expected customer service levels
• Ability to act as an active and collaborative member of an agile team
• Must be comfortable working remotely and lack of face to face time with colleagues and managers
• Ability to mentor and direct others
• Understanding of the Agile development methodology
