What you'll do:

  • Manage a team of software engineers (6-10 people).
  • Be accountable for the performance and results of the team.
  • Set employee performance objectives and conduct performance reviews.
  • Define team operating standards and ensure essential procedures are followed.
  • Utilize monitoring, automated testing, and a metrics-driven approach to improve customer experience, software quality, and developer productivity
  • Work with product managers and stakeholders to prioritize tasks.
  • Participate in solving complex application problems; quickly clear or escalate roadblocks; actively inform stakeholders about remedial actions and their results.

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development, including 1 year in a leadership role.
  • Proven success in delivering projects on time.
  • Proficient technical skills in either Java/Scala or Python.
  • Experience in creating technical solution proposals and system designs.
  • Preferred experience in Spark.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with tech and non-tech stakeholders.
  • Experience in creating roadmaps; ability to make appropriate trade-offs across features, resources, and quality.
