Job Title: Site Manager

Project location: Cote d'Ivoire

Job Summary:

The Site Manager will be allocated to the largest biomass project in West Africa. You shall oversee and supervise the overall erection supervision, commissioning and handover (and any follow-up activities as required) of the DP Equipment at the Site and be responsible for completion of site activities, and fulfilment of the Customer’s requirements and DP obligations agreed in the Contract within the planned time schedule, financial budget and according to the Erection Manual and Commissioning Procedure.

Main Responsibilities and Tasks:

Manage DP personnel on the Site and oversee DP Supervision of erection and commissioning of the DP Equipment and interface with other Equipment. Fulfil the Contractor’s requirements and the DP’s obligations in accordance with the Contract.

a) External project interface - Deliver the project documents, equipment and services in accordance with the Contract,

b) Internal project interface - Manage the project work activities in accordance with the work plan/work breakdown structure and ensure the deliverables/work products are completed in accordance with the internal time schedule, the planned resource allocation and the budget as defined in the Project Execution Plan.

c) Oversee all DP site personnel and sub-supplier supervisors.

d) Prepare and update DP Site Open Items List recording all issues, punch items and problems.

a) Ensure the safety of all DP site personnel and provision of safety clothing and gear in accordance with the Site procedure.

b) Reporting of all near missuses/accidents in accordance with the Site procedure.

a) External - handle all communication with Customer site manager in compliance with the agreed line of communication.

b) Internal - Ensure clear and regular communication in keeping with the DP Site Supervision team organisation structure and agreed lines of communication (as per the Project Execution Plan), to ensure smooth project workflow and avoid any misunderstandings, miscommunications and ambiguities.

Supervise and support the DP Site QC Manager/Supervisor and help monitor and control the quality of erection, installation and commissioning of the DP Equipment in compliance with the DP engineering design documentation and specifications (e.g. weld and connection details), the DP Erection Manual and QC documentation (e.g. welding procedure, NDE procedure, tests procedures etc). Review and approval of site QC documentation and inspection reports.

a) Site document management – organise and manage all project documents within DP M-Files system, in accordance with DP Business Process and System BPS) and secure arrangement of all hard copies at the Site.

1. Prepared by Site Erection Supervisor/Commissioning Engineer

2. Reviewed by Site QC Manager

3. Approved by Site Manager.

c) Document submission – ensure all Customer documents are properly identified with the Customer Document Code, approved in accordance with internal and external approval procedures and tracked within an appropriate submittal list.

To the Project Manager – weekly site supervision reports within an agreed format and follow-up weekly meeting to discuss

a) Site erection and commissioning progress

b) Site resourcing

c) Sub-supplier equipment and supervision

d) Logging of issues/open items/near missuses/accidents.

e) Health and safety

f) Site cash flow/financial matters

Minimise the likelihood and consequence of potential site risks ensuring suitable mitigation actions and planed and ready for execution (including health, safety and environmental issues)

Weekly allocation of site resource in accordance with DP’s internal global engineering Resource Allocation procedure (using MS Excel Tool) and weekly resource call with Project Manager, if necessary.

Preparation of and continuous updating of project work plan within Primavera P6/MS Project (including time schedule, work breakdown structure, milestones, activities, documents and work products, resource and issues.

Management of the project team members allocated on Site (including receiving weekly reports from and attending internal meetings). This includes QA/QC Site Manager, Erection Supervisor, Commissioning Supervisor, Commissioning Engineers
