Do you want to work in an entrepreneurial environment in a global organization? Do you want to help Swedish companies reach their full international potential? We are now looking for an Associate to join our team in Warsaw.

Business Sweden is a consultancy organization linked to the Swedish Foreign Ministry providing business development advisory and services on a global level creating growth for Swedish / Sweden related organizations and attracting investments to Sweden. Located in 40+ countries with approx. 500 employees, Business Sweden cooperates closely with local Swedish embassies and consulates.

Business Sweden’s main activities are structured in three main blocks:

  • Business Development Advisory
  • Business Incubation and Operations
  • Promotion activities for Swedish companies abroad on industry basis, etc.

The role includes both strategic and operational responsibilities such as:

  • Project delivery within minor teams of 1-5+ team members from different backgrounds across various business development projects in different markets: market analysis, acquisition support, distribution development, production development / supply chain management and governmental affairs related projects in different industries, such as manufacturing, healthcare, mining, IT/ telecom and retail
  • Involvement in project sales campaigns / processes and customer relationship building with all kinds of clients ranging from SME companies to the largest Swedish multinational company groups - expectation to spend time working across a wide range of industries, clients, and projects

Business Sweden’s Warsaw office has currently 6 employees and is a part of the Business Sweden CEE region with its offices in Kiev, Prague, Vienna, and Istanbul. The office is situated at the Swedish embassy in Warsaw. Work schedule: Standard working time, mainly based in Warsaw office (soft-hybrid system might be an option) with occasional business trips all over Europe, as required.

Formal requirements

  • A degree in Business Management or relevant field
  • 1-3 years of experience from management consulting sector, strategy departments from the private sector or sales and business development departments
  • Prior experience from an international environment
  • Fluent written and spoken English, whereas Polish, German, Swedish and other Eastern European languages are meriting
