Key Duties and Requirements: A Roadmap to Your Professional Success
We’re looking for a hands-on finance executive who will design and execute a strategy to ensure the maximum financial efficiency of our business.
- Optimization of sales model to increase billability by 10 percentage points in the next 12 months.
- Increased average sales margin by 10 percentage points within the next 12 months.
- Increased annual net profit by 1,5 percentage points (2025->2024).
- Increased company market valuation based on the DCF model by 20%.
Scope of responsibilities:
Strategic Finance
- Building a profit-oriented financial vision and strategy.
- Building a vision and strategy related to M&A and active participation in discussions with investors.
- Continuous creation of financial scenarios and simulations by analysing revenues, costs, margins, and market environment and developing recommendations for action.
- Continuous market monitoring and development of new business, sales and settlement models in response to emerging trends and needs.
- Comprehensive care for tax issues, government and EU programs in terms of optimisation and subsidies (e.g. R&D, IP Box).
- Comprehensive financial and currency risk management.
Sales Finance
- Creating strategies that maximise income from each client throughout the life cycle (CLTV).
- Supporting Revenue in the continuous optimization of the customer acquisition cost (CAC).
- Creating a cost strategy related to the implementation of client projects regarding the remuneration system, employment structure, participation of freelancers, subcontractors, etc., and bench optimization.
Reporting
- Reporting to the Executive Team and owners.
- Building a reporting system and visualization of financial and production data (in our case - project data) updated in real-time.
- Building a system for maintaining financial data in a tool/tools providing constant access to selected financial reports.
- Building a knowledge base/market benchmarks in terms of utilization, rates, costs and profitability levels in our industry.
- Building a dashboard showing the degree of completion of cyclical financial activities carried out each month.
- Automation of processes related to reporting and signaling the situation in given projects.
Administration and processes
- Supervision and active participation in legal matters, information security, signed contracts, setting new standards in this area.
- Continuous improvement of our administrative, financial and accounting processes, creation of simple and transparent documentation.
- Supervision over the entire accounting area.
- Supervision and continuous improvements in the entire administration area (contract templates, contracts, project orders).
- Full responsibility for the Compliance area (compliance with legal requirements, auditors and offices).
- Care for ISO-type standards.
- Cooperation with external partners (accounting office, law firm).
General
- Full responsibility for the department’s strategy and results.
- Ownership of the department's general processes (planning, budgeting, KPIs, forecasts etc.).
- Liaising with other Executive Team members to achieve department and company goals.
- Actively supporting other Executive Team’s members.
- Managing organisational development and change projects.
- Continuous improvement of company’s and department’s operations, processes and way of working.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies.
Here's a set of skills we require:
- 7+ years of experience.
- In-depth knowledge of corporate, strategic finance and accounting.
- Experience in financial controlling - at least 5 years.
- Experience as a senior manager/director - leading a team for at least 3 years.
- Experience in M&A.
- Experience in managing financial data and its presentation - creating dashboards, automation.
- Experience in creating scenarios, financial forecasts, their analyses and creating recommendations for actions.
- Experience in managing sales strategy and finances, creating optimal sales offers.
- Experience in streamlining administrative processes.
- Experience in handling legal issues, GDPR, ISO in cooperation with external partners.
- Very good written and verbal communication skills in both English (min. C1) and Polish.
- Experience in the IT or agency industry.
- Experience in working in an international environment - including settlement of foreign companies and contracts with foreign clients.

Navigating the Hiring Process: What does the recruitment process for that position look like?
Finance Director is one of our key recruitments. This is a huge responsibility! As a result, the recruitment process looks a little different. We also assume that it will take longer than other processes. We value your time and commitment. Therefore, all the steps for this position are listed below.
1. Send an application containing your resume and describe your experience in the form. You will find a list of questions related to your past career. This is necessary so that we can assess whether you are ready to take on such a challenging role.
2. HR Screening - A member of the recruiting team will explain to you the structure of our company and the specifics of this position. In addition, you can ask questions to make sure we are the perfect place to work for you. This stage will take about 45-60 minutes.
3. As part of the next stage in our recruitment process, we kindly ask you to record a short video where you answer two specific questions in English. This will help us assess your communication skills and language proficiency.
4. Task - After the interview, you will be given a task related to the role. This task is designed to evaluate your problem-solving abilities, creativity, and how you approach challenges relevant to the position.
5. Job interview 1 - In this stage, you will participate in a video interview with Przemek (CEO) and Tomasz (Delivery Director) lasting approximately 90 minutes. During the interview, we will delve into your experience, skills, and qualifications related to the position.
6. Job interview 2 - You will also have the opportunity to meet with the Owner of Espeo Software (Paweł) in a video meeting.
7. Cultural Fit Meeting - In this stage, we’ll have a more informal conversation to understand how well your values, work style, and personality align with our company culture. This is also a chance for you to get a sense of whether our environment is the right fit for you.
8. This is the final step! We will ask you to provide 3 contacts who can give you recommendations.
