What you'll do:
- Manage a team of software engineers (6-10 people).
- Be accountable for the performance and results of the team.
- Set employee performance objectives and conduct performance reviews.
- Define team operating standards and ensure essential procedures are followed.
- Utilize monitoring, automated testing, and a metrics-driven approach to improve customer experience, software quality, and developer productivity
- Work with product managers and stakeholders to prioritize tasks.
- Participate in solving complex application problems; quickly clear or escalate roadblocks; actively inform stakeholders about remedial actions and their results.
What you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software development, including 1 year in a leadership role.
- Proven success in delivering projects on time.
- Proficient technical skills in either Java/Scala or Python.
- Experience in creating technical solution proposals and system designs.
- Preferred experience in Spark.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with tech and non-tech stakeholders.
- Experience in creating roadmaps; ability to make appropriate trade-offs across features, resources, and quality.
