At first, i loved my job here at target which is flexbile fulfillment, i enjoy working with the team. The management doesn't know how to manage employees and are very rude. All they care about is themselves because they make better pay and numbers. Im thinking about leaving but I don't know if I should leave just because they don't treat us right.

Money is good, but you are expected to do a lot

I worked at target for almost 3 years, I loved it there because your coworkers were more like family than coworkers we created such a close bond and it was so nice to work with people and no drama! Management was the biggest downfall, when things were hard often management wouldn’t get their hands dirty and help, instead just stay inside their office or walk around the store and stress out employees giving a list of things that need to be done and then get mad when it’s not done when they should help in the first place. When we would get visits it would be even worse because they would be even harder on everyone and be in bad moods and all coworkers were doing the best they could. They would ask often to stay, more days than not, which you need to take advantage of because jan- April you get NO HOURS in the whole store the highest hours an average employee got we found was 18, Dont know how they expect you to pay bills on that. Management plays favorites too. Lastly on special days like pizza days I witnessed a manager bring the pizza to her office first so they could eat, so they hid in the office and ate then the hardworking employees got their chance. The management was a joke, the discount is horrible. The pay is good, hours are good unless it’s off season, and the coworkers are great, we also got bonuses during Covid, that stopped soon after things started opening up but it was a nice gesture.

Good place to work for less intense labor but good pay.

Good starter job for someone with very little experience. Good pay and pretty decent people to work with. Can be a little draining during the holidays but that’s most retails jobs.

Okay for seasonal work

it's an okay job if you want something seasonal or temporary, but anything beyond that becomes hard to achieve with management that stunts, and a general overworking of employees

Very inclusive and fair with hiring

It is okay to be yourself and let your personality shine through. Employees are encouraged to personally interact with guests. Team Leads work with employees to attain daily department metrics. Company is great at making sure all employees have time for breaks. Scheduling is very flexible.

Mangement is very bad and they make overdo a lot. Its very depressing over there i don't care it could be just me. I guess the snacks is the best part of the job.

My manager is great. When they say leaders make or break a company that’s true. The type of manager I have has kept me there longer than I wanted because you don’t find many that actually care

Good place to work if you love to suffer

This is not a good place to work if you value mental health. They will deny mental health accommodations to you if they feel like it, even if you are protected under the ADA. They only care about their favorite employees, and do not apply their “write up” system. One OM especially loves to up and fire people if they so feel like despite not having a “final” write up. Overall place is a massive joke but you definitely get paid enough to put up with it

Not much support for advancement if you don’t have a degree

Not much support for advancement if you don’t have a degree. Pay is minimal compare to other companies in the same position. Would not recommend hourly jobs to anyone

Good Coworkers

My coworkers and night team lead make it fun being at work. I haven't had any major issues with management. We're constantly understaffed, but everyone works hard to get the job done.

Mediocre!

My overall experience working at Target was pretty mediocre. I worked at a 2 level Target so it was incredibly huge! The pay and benefits has definitely increased since I last worked there. The managers were okay. Some were nice and helpful, on the floor being a team player while others were rude and lazy. My coworkers were pretty fun to be around. Of course there was drama though like any other work place. Also, sometimes people would disappear mid shift for hours because it was either a slow day and you didn't want to be cut to go home OR a fast day and you were called to work every department cause the store was busy! But overall, I would only recommend Target if you're looking for part-time work because then you might actually have a work/life balance. Because as always if you want full-time hours, you have be able to work ANY shift/schedule along with getting paid the same as part-time while doing everyone else's job. And I believe benefits don't start until after you've completed an year. Pretty decent job that will definitely work you harder than Walmart but also not a difficult job.

Fun staff, good starter job

The people I worked with were great. Most of the leaders were fun, but also fair. Overall it was a great experience until COVID hit. Then it just became somewhat of a nightmare when working with guests. The job usually involves a lot of physical labor, so be wary of that unless you're applying for an HR office position. I usually left work quite exhausted. What made it worth it, though, were the relationships I had with my coworkers. Those were definitely some fun times and I have a lot of good memories to look back on.

It was alright.

It was an okay to work. Everyday was basically the same. Wasn't really a fun job. Everyday was boring. It was a temporary job. Management was okay. It wasn't the best.

Fun, good pay

Stressful at times but overall a good experience. Pay is good depending on what you are doing there. Loved my coworkers but some of the managers are a little crazy. Overall a decent job

Work Overload

Since I’ve been with Target it has been very difficult since it feels like I have had no support. I’m not sure if the rest of the store feels this way in other departments but Starbucks is VERY neglected. Mangers expect you to be on top of a 3 person job when you work alone and have no empathy whatsoever. They have ignored my availability and my time off. If you want a job where you work alone doing a 3 person job with no support.. this is the perfect place for you

Management needs work

The management can be very passive aggressive and have unrealistic expectations which can make the job very draining after working there for a few months.

Long and boring

The target distribution center is a terrible place to work. The management is terrible and they let many people go for petty reasons just days before they reach their 90 days so they don’t have to give you benefits and your sign on bonus

Inclusive workplace

Positive and Engaging workplace. Friendly and Outgoing Peers. Fair and understanding to current situations with world events. Would recommend for first time and steady job employment

The staff is the best

I’ve worked at two targets and the coworkers were always amazing. Super inclusive and progressive culture. The pay is reasonable. You won’t get your 40hrs unless it’s season. Even if you’re a top employee unless it’s understaffed.

Coworkers don't want to get along

Coworkers that are going to an university don't want to get along with older workers. Older workers had problems keeping up with the speed requirements.
