Good place to learn, develop skills and qualifications, however bearing in mind the specific structure of KPMG, it is the least internatational company out of Big 4
Typical day at work is 9-10h, overtime very common. I learned to manage my time and what accounting and audit is all about. Management is overburdened, they are always tired and occupied. Culture is great, people are helpful and coffebreak are anjoyable. The hardest part of the job is coping with time pressure, it is also essential, because older unfinished files/projects can bog you down considerably on your current work and the "snowball effect" risk is significant. The most enjoyable part of the job is closing a file and the payday.
Overall management is relatively easy to work with though there are severe bottlenecks when it comes to decision time. The entity wants to be on the forefront of technology but often suffers from fear of change and general short sightedness.
That being said, you learn how to work hard and you build solid relationships with the people you suffer with. You can take these lessons with you anywhere in the world.
