I've been working with KFC for many many years I really like work for KFC they have really great standards there's a few clean procedures that I feel that I have insight that I can help them perform more proper cleaning procedures for the capacity more inspections I like to help with that idea I have a great idea to help KFCs past if not of these 95% of their inspections
Unless you get lucky with your fellow employees and managers, this job is very fast-paced and stressful. There's always something to do, which means if you get behind even a little bit, all of it will snowball and cause large backups of multiple tasks needing to be done quickly at once.
I wipe off tables, chairs, clean the windows, pick up trash outside, sweep and mop the floors even take out the trash. I even did some food prep, and I did cook. I was helping the store stay clean and spottless
Second work experience
not enough hours
Was so understaffed that what used to be a normal day in regards to customer volume became a stressful nightmare. The management was subpar, extremely stressful at times, constantly leaving for "smoke breaks" every 15 minutes, leaving the non smokers to do all the work.
No PTO. Understaffed. Too many hours to handle.
The job itself wasn't hard. The people while I was there was great to work with. The environment was laid back to where you didn't dread having to go into work. The other workers while I was there was pleasant to work with. I would recommend that if you just need a part time job, this place isn't a bad choice outside the pay.
The pay is terrible, there are never any raises because management is either too busy to do evals or they "can't afford it". They make promises they can't keep. I was supposedly offered a management position that would require a one month "trial" period in which I would not yet have a raise. Come the one month mark they came up with an excuse not to give said raise despite my great performance. Needless to say I wasn't there much longer after that.
The typical day is easy enough. Come to work on time, clock in and check with the manager to see what your position for the day is. Begin your main task until it is completed; then start your secondary tasks. I learned how to deal with a variety of customers as well as a variety of employees. I have had two different managers at this store, observing how different techniques can apply in the work place. The hardest part of the job was dealing with disgruntled customers. The most enjoyable part was getting to gratifyingly serve some of the older customers.
Free lunches, food experience, dealing with a variety of customers
Short breaks, no recognition
I would clean the inside and outside of the store making sure that it was clean enough to start the work day. I learned how to clean grease off of cooking equipment. Management was great they where very friendly and helpful and the co-workers where always entertaining. the hardest part of the job was trying to clean graffiti off the outside walls. I would have to say the co-workers and management was the best part of the job.
