Good place for students, good shift, nice people to work. Very busy but time flies. I was never bored there. Salary could be better... I didn't enjoy contact with managers, they were always stressed and it was hard to reach help from them. Customer service brings lot of fun, I recommend this job for hardworking, open and friendly people.
If you've ever daydreamed of a job where the customer will yell at you constantly for things you have no control over then this is the job for you. Managers are still really young and often they are also in training so there's no real responsible leadership.
customers, unprofessional managers
The most enjoyable part of working there was making friends although you couldn’t really hang out with them much cause it was all about work
Working at KFC made me realise how much stress the service people have and how badly they can get treated by customers and some managers. But working with friends was really good knowing that they had your back
Look it's not a bad place to start to be honest I would say 90 percent of people who work there are so nice and caring. When you a trainee people are pretty chill with you as well and it helps with your customer service skills as well as helping you with your confidence. Also, some shifts are super chill. A few negatives though. Not everyone is going to be perfect there so you do get some real idiots who you have to work with. It's also extremely stressful if you are packing out front and if its busy as you have customers watching you and can get very impatient and extremely disrespectful and rude. If you're in drive-thru you have to be good at your job but is stressful. and in the box on the mic is alright. Then being a cook is so good. I would say other than the extremely rude customers and the stress it puts on you give it a go.
food discount, nice people to work with, can be chill, good for confidence and customer service skills
having to deal with fast food customers isn't fun, some bad people, very stressful when busy
KFC is a workplace i would recommend any day due to the raw experience you can gain in a short period of time you will learn how to deal with stressful situations with customers as well as situations when there is a lot of pressure.
Experience in retail
stressful at times
Working at my store was great for the most part. The team is great to work with, the environment is great for the most part. The culture of the store is very relaxed and friendly. Unfortunately the management can be pretty garbage. Constantly implementing new, ineffective programs and technology that were not properly tested and constantly were a hassle. The particular manager I worked under seemed to think he is better than everyone working for him, constantly correcting people, rearranging the store to "improve" things.
a fun easy work environment with great co workers and learning experiences. there is always room to improve but heaps easy to learn, communicate, and work effectively
All around a poor work environment. There is little room to move up unless you are family and employees are treate disposable. There are no benefits and managment actively tries to avaoid paying sick time.
Very welcoming and fun atmosphere. Great place to have your first job through high school. Working with the right people can make a 8 hour shift feel like an hour, and they had a great team while I worked there.
Employee discount, Great teammates.
They typical shift involved money handling, cleaning and food handling. I learnt how to deal with stressful situations, difficult customers and balancing my work, school and social lives. The hardest part of the job for me was struggling to deny taking on extra shifts. The most enjoyable part of the job was gaining a relationship with my regular customers and coworkers.
