Remote Marketing Storyteller with a Technical Twist | Full-Time

Hi, I’m Daisy Jing, founder of Banish.

I started Banish because I struggled with cystic acne and acne scars for years. I know how deeply skin issues can affect your confidence, and I wanted to build something that genuinely helps people feel better in their own skin.

First and foremost, this role is for someone who has personally experienced acne, acne scars, or skin issues.

The people we create content for can tell when someone truly understands what they’re going through.

There are millions of people dealing with acne and acne scars, and most brands don’t speak to them honestly. We try to do things differently.

About the Role

I’m looking for someone creative, curious, and resourceful to work closely with me on content and marketing.

This role blends storytelling, content creation, influencer work, and experimentation. You’ll focus on making content that feels real, performs well, and actually resonates.

You’ll also own content and influencer strategy; not waiting for briefs, but bringing ideas, testing them, and doubling down on what works.

You’ll work directly with me to turn real experiences and insights into content that connects.

Social platforms change fast, so part of the role is learning what works, adapting quickly, and positioning content naturally for each platform.

Some days you’ll be filming or editing. Other days you’ll be analyzing performance, working with creators, or building systems and workflows to scale what works.

We work primarily with US hours, so some overlap with Pacific Time is important. A shared collaboration window is typically 12–3 PM PST, when we sync, review work, and align on next steps

A Few Honest Notes

We’re a small team, so things move fast and priorities can shift. There’s a lot of ownership and freedom, but also a need to be comfortable with ambiguity.

Some days you’re creating. Some days you’re analyzing what failed. Some days you’re building systems so we can move faster.

If you need everything clearly planned out in advance, this probably won’t suit you. But if you like working at a fast pace, taking initiative, and creating work that matters to people, you’ll feel at home here.
